What We'll Bring:
Looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join the Cloud Architecture and Optimization team supporting migrations to Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have broad AWS expertise with demonstrated experience implementing infrastructure and platforms as code on AWS. The Cloud Engineer will assess existing services, design modular components, and implement the target state architectures.
The role requires solid experience in cloud computing environments, hands on technical skills, passion and appetite to master new technologies, and excellent communication skills.
What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience implementing application architectures on AWS
  • Hands-on Python development experience
  • Strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL (stored procedures and functions)
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Postgres, MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, microservices, message queues, and related technologies
  • Experience with multiple monitoring tools and their integrations into AWS platforms
  • Must have passion for technology and automation
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving and passion for continuous improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy

We'd love to see:
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho or Informatica
  • Git CI/CD knowledge
  • One or more AWS Associate Level certifications

Impact You'll Make:
  • Design and build target state architectures using infrastructure-as-code on AWS
  • Design build plans, assist developers with failures and manage software configurations
  • Ensure end-to-end deployments succeed and resources come up in an automated fashion
  • Provide direction to developers with server troubleshooting and application errors due to configuration issues
  • Debug deployments and take actions resulting from root cause analysis
  • Lead production migrations (off-hours) and provide support when needed to troubleshoot problems with mission-critical applications
