This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Engineer (Salesforce & Jira Integration) based in Mexico .

This role is focused on building and optimizing enterprise-grade data pipelines that connect critical business systems into a centralized analytics ecosystem.
You will play a key role in transforming raw operational data from platforms like Salesforce and Jira into structured, high-quality datasets used for executive reporting and business intelligence.
The position involves designing scalable ETL/ELT workflows within Snowflake, ensuring performance, reliability, and strong governance standards.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including BI developers, analysts, and platform administrators to enable accurate and fast data-driven decision-making.
A strong emphasis is placed on data quality, security, and architectural best practices in a complex enterprise environment.
This is a highly collaborative and international role, working closely with US-based stakeholders in a fast-paced, Agile setting.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from Salesforce, Jira, and other enterprise SaaS systems into Snowflake.
  • Develop and optimize Snowflake data models, including staging layers, transformations, and reporting-ready structures.
  • Implement robust data ingestion processes leveraging Salesforce APIs and Jira workflows, ensuring accurate mapping of business objects and processes.
  • Monitor pipeline performance, implement data validation checks, and ensure end-to-end data quality and reliability.
  • Enforce data governance policies, security controls, and role-based access mechanisms within enterprise environments.
  • Collaborate with Power BI developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data availability and consistency for reporting.
  • Document data flows, architectural decisions, and technical implementations in alignment with Agile delivery practices.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering standards and practices.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working with cloud-based data platforms and pipelines.
    • Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including ingestion strategies, transformations, and performance optimization.
    • Advanced SQL skills for complex transformations, data modeling, and analytical performance tuning.
    • Solid experience integrating Salesforce data, including understanding of its data model, APIs, and commercial objects.
    • Experience working with Jira or similar workflow/ticketing systems and modeling their data structures.
    • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and modern data engineering practices.
    • Experience working with distributed teams and communicating effectively in English with technical and business stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of data governance, security principles, and enterprise-level access control models.
    • Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or similar (nice to have).
    • Experience supporting BI tools such as Power BI, including data modeling and dashboard enablement (nice to have).
    • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative engineering workflows (nice to have).
    • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
