Data Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Engineer based in India.

You will join a high-impact data team focused on building and scaling secure, reliable, and high-performance data infrastructure that supports critical decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will design and maintain robust data pipelines that integrate information from multiple internal and external systems into a unified analytics ecosystem. You will work closely with engineering, product, finance, and revenue operations teams to transform complex data into trusted insights that drive business strategy. The environment is fast-paced and mission-driven, with a strong emphasis on data quality, security, and scalability. You will also play a key role in shaping the architecture of the data warehouse and ensuring compliance with regulatory and performance standards. You will also contribute to enabling data-driven culture across both technical and non-technical teams.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from multiple internal and external systems
• Own and evolve data warehouse architecture, including data modeling, partitioning strategies, access control, and security practices
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Product, Finance, and Revenue Operations to define and track key business KPIs
• Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, consistency, and documentation across all datasets and pipelines
• Manage and maintain billing and financial data infrastructure, including warehouse tables and data models
• Build and support dashboards and analytics solutions that provide actionable insights for leadership and business teams
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance, scalability, and system reliability
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and support knowledge sharing across engineering teams

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles in fast-paced environments
• Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL for data transformation and pipeline development
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, and Airflow
• Experience integrating data from platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Amplitude, or similar GTM tools
• Strong understanding of data warehouse design, modeling, and optimization techniques
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience building dashboards using tools like Sigma, Looker, or Tableau
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and handling sensitive or regulated data
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with executive and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments
• Nice to have: experience in fintech, cybersecurity, or fraud prevention domains
• Nice to have: familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, or CCPA
