This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Product Owner based in Mexico .

This role is a key interface between business stakeholders and data engineering teams, responsible for shaping and delivering high-value data products that power decision-making across Property & Casualty insurance and distribution functions. You will lead the definition and prioritization of product backlogs for enterprise data initiatives, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution. The position plays a central role in building and evolving a modern enterprise data warehouse that delivers trusted, scalable, and high-quality data assets across the organization. You will translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensure delivery teams execute with precision and consistency. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication, structured thinking, and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, business strategy, and technology delivery. The role offers strong visibility and impact across multiple business domains within a large-scale data ecosystem.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the success of enterprise data products from definition through delivery:

  • Own and manage the product backlog for strategic data initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise data strategy
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for technical teams
  • Prioritize features, enhancements, and technical tasks to maximize business value and delivery impact
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and delivery teams
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defining validation criteria and ensuring delivered solutions meet business expectations
  • Support the development and evolution of a centralized enterprise data warehouse and related data products
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and usability across multiple data sources and systems
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder alignment sessions
  • Track delivery progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to both technical and business audiences
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and optimization of data workflows
  • Requirements

    We are looking for a strong Data Product Owner with experience bridging business and technical teams in data-driven environments:

    • Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role focused on data or analytics products
    • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and enterprise data management concepts
    • Hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake for data exploration, validation, and collaboration with engineering teams
    • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
    • Basic understanding of Python and its role in data processing or automation (nice to have)
    • Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments
    • Strong knowledge of backlog management, prioritization frameworks, and UAT processes
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
    • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
    • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
