This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor Backend based in Brazil.
This is a high-impact backend engineering role within a fast-scaling product environment focused on mobility and delivery solutions used across thousands of cities in Brazil. You will contribute to the development and evolution of robust, high-availability systems that power millions of rides and deliveries. The role involves working closely with cross-functional product squads, directly influencing system performance, scalability, and reliability. You will be part of a collaborative engineering culture that values clean architecture, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. Accountabilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using PHP and Go, ensuring high performance and reliability across production systems.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications across development, staging, and production environments.
- Contribute to database design and data modeling, ensuring efficient, scalable, and well-structured schemas.
- Monitor production systems, identify bugs, and implement fixes to ensure system stability and uptime.
- Collaborate within product squads to propose and implement improvements in mobility and delivery platform features.
- Participate in architectural discussions, suggesting enhancements to improve scalability, robustness, and user experience.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure best practices in coding, testing, and system design are followed.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in backend development, including web applications in high-availability environments.
- Strong experience with PHP, Go, and JavaScript for backend and service development.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling best practices.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and ability to structure complex problems.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills, transparency, and focus on results.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work on complex, high-scale challenges.
- Nice to have: exposure to AI-assisted programming or AI tools in development workflows.
