The Platform function at Perk builds the foundations that the rest of the company depends on. We own the shared infrastructure core services and developer tooling that enable product teams to move fast without breaking things. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team and help build maintain and scale the infrastructure and tools that empower our developers to deliver reliable secure and high-performing services. If you’re an experienced Platform Engineer or a Software Engineer with a passion for Platform and Developer Experience we would love to speak with you.

• Design build and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure in AWS

• Enable development teams to be owners of their systems and to deliver high impact products to our users

• Partner with SRE and security teams to help developers build resilient and secure applications

• Participate in our on-call and incident management process as part of a “you build it you run it” mentality

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing systems in AWS (EC2 S3 RDS IAM VPC etc.).

• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Pulumi etc.).

• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (GitHub Actions CircleCI etc.).

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog CloudWatch etc.).

• Experience with containerisation and container orchestration (Docker ECS etc.).

• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python Go or Bash).

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in distributed systems.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience with Windows systems and .NET applications

• Experience with serverless architectures

• Experience with defining advanced cloud networking setups

• Familiarity with SOC2 ISO 27001 or other compliance frameworks

Compensation for this role is a combination of salary and stock options. The anticipated base salary range is $115000 - $135000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on specific qualifications experience and other job-related factors.

At Perk we take an IRL-first approach to work where our team works together in-person 3 days a week. As such this role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our hubs. We fundamentally believe in the value of meeting in real life to improve connectivity productivity creativity and ultimately making us a great place to work.
