Digital Content Developer

As a digital content developer at Okta, you will produce innovative learning assets to enable customers, partners, and employees to gain expertise on Okta products. We are looking for an experienced digital media developer to create and distribute digital media assets across various platforms. You will be part of our Expert Acceleration team whose mission is to help Okta scale through Education and Certification creating Okta experts and champions. 

Our team is collaborative and agile. To be successful in this position, you will be flexible and ready to take on tasks to continuously evolve our processes for improvement. Proven success in consistently delivering creative multimedia assets for technical audiences on time is critical. 

What you’ll be doing 

Contribute to the growth of the Okta expert ecosystem by designing, editing, and distributing high-quality digital media content that meets the product roadmap deadlines and stakeholder requirements.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather input and feedback to create effective content on Okta products and services.
• Create and edit product enablement assets, including relevant audio, video, interactive, and written text content elements.
• Enhance existing product enablement assets created by other team members through infographics, visual elements, and interactive components.
• QA assets to ensure that it meets Okta’s quality standards, brand guidelines, and leverages industry best practices for accessibility.
• Maintain inventory integrity by managing asset catalog. Distribute and publish assets to the appropriate channels, including social media, community, and in-app as appropriate. 
• Analyze and report on customer adoption and social media performance data – either via direct providers or third-party dashboards – and offer recommendations on how to increase content adoption and interaction
• Help define and refine the asset lifecycle processes required to maintain the highest levels of content quality and accuracy. Take initiative and ownership with focus on continuous improvement.
• Work on supporting projects as needed, including visual data sheets, presentations, and web pages to market our work.

What you’ll bring to the role

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experiences
• 3-5 years of creating multimedia assets for a technical audience including:
• Script-writing, video production, screen capture and recording, editing, motion design, and sound design.
• Extensive experience with various digital capture and visual media editing tools including Camtasia, Final Cut Pro, Adobe SuiteEn, and gSuite. 
• Comfortable with eLearning authoring tools, such as Articulate Rise
• Comfortable with business use of social media channels (LinkedIn, YouTube) to drive user engagement with content. Can collect and interpret usage data. 
• Experience with LMS systems and HTML is a plus.
• Experience with AI tools to speed development is a plus.
• Experience working for a software company with an agile development cadence
• Strong interpersonal skills, building strong relationships across all lines of business
• Manage a variety of simultaneous projects within tight deadlines yet still maintain quality
• Organized, driven, and fast; you get the big picture but you catch the details
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and stay curious by staying on top of the rapidly changing world of the Digital Experience.
