Department Overview
The Motorola Solutions Radio Engineering team, located in Plantation, FL., specializes in the design and development of world class Mission Critical Communications equipment. This team develops state of the art mixed signal modules and integrated circuits for use in our radio products. We need innovative and motivated mixed signal system-on-a-chip designers to apply their talents to take our radio product solutions to the next level. As a member of our team you will have opportunities to work on a variety of circuits and system designs.Job Description
The Digital IC Physical Design Engineer will work with CMOS technologies (180 to 22 nm) and support digital physical design and/or verification tasks for integrated circuit SoC devices to be utilized in hi-reliability public safety communications systems.
Digital synthesis, place-and-route, static timing analysis, logical equivalence checking, gate level simulation, SCAN insertion, design constraint, power and EMIR analysis, low power design (UPF/CPF)
Additional Qualified Skills:
- Experience in IP integration, memory IP integration, floorplanning, clock and power distribution, timing optimization and integration with analog and RF
- Experience with SystemVerilog/Universal Verification Methodology (UVM), Cadence Innovus, Synopsys Design Compiler, TetraMax ATPG, Primetime, Formality. Experience in mixed-signal simulation will be an asset. Familiar with shell and scripting languages (SKILL, Perl, Python, TCL, make, csh, bash).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic Requirements
MSEE or BSEE with 4+ years of Digital and/or Mixed Signal IC digital physical design experience
