About Brand Solutions:

The Brand Solutions team has ultimate responsibility for the creative output of our campaigns and programs. Brand Solutions will have a helicopter view over all parts of a collaboration and will work with the expert teams and specialist partners (both internally and externally) to bring a brand’s creative vision to life. This will include helping brand partners to access Whalar’s full suite of casting and production services to tap into the right communities in order to tell the right stories through the right voices. The Brand Solutions team are the gatekeepers and guardians of the brands we work with. 

The team has three core functions: 

  1. Oversee client relationships, budgets and timings across any executional workflows
  2. Act as the central resource bringing in the right expertise at the right time under efficient and optimal workflows
  3. Facilitate retention and client satisfaction through excellent operational and servicing standards, and quality creative output

About the role:

The Brand Solutions Director, is responsible for ensuring the team is equipped to deliver new products, tools & services with brand partners in this dynamic and evolving space. The Brand Solutions Director will oversee the Brand Solutions team, ensuring both team and client needs are met effectively and efficiently.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Provide senior leadership and exceptional levels of customer service to brand partners and key stakeholders
  • Be a consultative, creator economy expert, guiding, recommending and developing solutions for brand partners 
  • Know the needs of our emerging and key accounts like no-one else in the business and ensure a high-touch client experience
  • Ensure our delivery engine is set up to successfully and effectively produce the work through qualifying resources ie. strategy, paid media, measurement and 3rd party partners where needed to execute
  • Proactive new process development to ensure smooth, effective delivery of work on new or developing areas of the creator economy
  • Connect with Brand Solutions leadership to understand barriers to efficient production and execution to ensure our business is constantly evolving
  • Excellent dispute resolution capabilities, taking a solutions first approach at points of escalation 
  • Work with Business Operations to identify, vet and communicate new partners and vendors to scale campaign delivery operations 
  • Driving forward our ability to  service  Brand Partners across EMEA and globally 
  • Grow, nurture and maintain a network of local market experts to scale global delivery efforts
  • Ownership of resourcing, reviewing PipeDrive to understand pipeline and make recommendations for hiring, team allocation  and team development
  • Ownership of global resource tracker, and campaign resourcing, managing team utilization and campaign profitability 
  • Work with other Associate Directors / Director(s) to host regular full team/cross functional meetings and organize training sessions
  • Have a strong understanding of all social and content platforms, and be able to operationalise workflows to execute creator campaigns on them
  • Ensure we are never standing still in terms of our capabilities
  • Represent Whalar’s culture in a meaningful way

Here's what we're looking for:

  • 8yrs+  years managing brands and/or accounts in an agency, platform or creative capacity within the Marketing, Advertising or Creator Economy
  • Be seen as a trusted leader and expert both internally and externally 
  • Experience in delivering successful Social and/or Creator strategies 
  • Strong understanding of the creator economy 
  • Comfortable presenting, public speaking, leading and owning the room 
  • High growth mindset - we are a business growing at pace 
  • Proven abilities in pioneering and innovation of the status quo
  • High attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple reqs
  • Sharp eye for business with the ability to listen, ask relevant questions, and think three steps ahead
  • Working knowledge of Asana or similar project management tools
  • A passion for building diverse teams and delivering an exceptional client experience
  • A second language is a plus
