  • Helping lead the strategy for expanding and scaling our public cloud hosting models while controlling costs

  • Helping define cloud hosting standards across environments and product lines for better efficiency and ease of management

  • Helping the teams strike a strategic balance between PaaS usage and cloud portability to gain efficiency without vendor lock-in.

  • Auditing and reviewing cloud spend and implementing tools for insight and reporting

  • Working with our FinOps, TechOps, and R&D teams to ensure proper cost controls (tagging), architecture, and security requirements are being applied

  • Participating in the incident management process to ensure successful execution and acting as Sev Lead (aka Incident Commander) on a rotation basis

  • Helping the team balance cloud costs vs. application performance and resiliency.

  • Bringing thought leadership around high availability, scalability, resilience, performance, and cloud security requirements in our operating environments

  • Preparing and delivering communications to convey system health, budgetary forecasts, customer impact, remediation strategies

  • Advising on systems scalability and development opportunities that can be utilized or adapted to meet/exceed operational objectives
