This position can be based remotely in our any of our approved hiring regions. Our hybrid distributed workforce philosophy allows us to find the best talent in the country and build diverse teams, while allowing our colleagues to work from the location that works best for them. For those who prefer to work in-office, we have locations in San Francisco and Pittsburgh. We also plan to use these spaces to bring together teammates to drive creativity and innovation.
THE TEAM
The Capital Markets group is building and growing an institutional scale, technology-driven capital markets platform.
The Director of Capital Markets will support the Vice President of Capital Markets to ensure flawless operations of capital transactions and loan sales, and building and maintaining strategic relationships with all types of institutional investors to generate new capital to support continued growth
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a key player in overall strategy and execution for the Capital Markets Department
- Develops and executes the strategic plan for each individual investment vehicle, whether securitization or loan sales, for multiple lending product typesÂ
- Creates and delivers investment presentations with the goal of attracting and/or retaining institutional investors
- Develop and maintain internal financial models to forecast capital needs and potential transactions
- Monitors and maintains history of market activity, conditions, and trends to generate market forecasts
- Develop tools to better understand and communicate risk concentrations and drivers of risk and capital
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years experience in-house at a finance or investment firm with progressive experience as a manager
- Successful track-record of executing capital market transactions
- Strong modeling and presentation skills
- Self-assured, leadership confidence balanced with excellent communication, humility, respect and strong ethics
- Substantive knowledge and demonstrated expertise in mortgage banking, corporate and securities; capital markets; and regulatory compliance
