Director Electrical Engineering

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering team responsible for designing prototyping and validating electrical systems for consumer products.

• Provide technical leadership in power electronics embedded systems circuit design and hardware development processes.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with industrial design mechanical engineering product development manufacturing and R&D teams to ensure seamless integration and execution.

• Drive continuous improvement in design quality performance and manufacturability.

• Oversee development of schematics PCB layouts circuit simulations and system validation to ensure robust scalable and compliant designs.

• Support the integration of power systems including power conversion motor control and energy-efficient solutions.

• Ensure embedded system architecture and implementation meets performance scalability and reliability goals.

• Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to implement effective DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) practices.

• Partner with external suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure high-quality cost-effective solutions.

• Manage design validation testing (DVT) and compliance processes to meet regulatory requirements (UL FCC CE IEC etc.).

• Mentor and develop engineering team members helping grow individual capabilities and team performance.

• 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering with 3+ years in a technical leadership or management role.

• Strong expertise in power electronics including power conversion motor control and battery systems.

• Solid background in embedded systems design microcontrollers and real-time firmware integration.

• Experience in developing and launching high-volume consumer electronics.

• Deep understanding of DFM DFT and regulatory compliance in hardware development.

• Strong leadership organizational and project management skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
