This role provides a high-impact opportunity to lead and scale a multi-team engineering organization, driving product development, technical strategy, and organizational growth. You will oversee large-scale, mission-critical projects, ensuring high-quality, scalable software solutions while aligning engineering priorities with broader business objectives. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on mentorship, offering the chance to shape engineering culture, processes, and practices. Accountabilities:
- Lead, manage, and grow multiple engineering teams and managers while scaling the India engineering organization.
- Drive organizational efficiency and adoption of modern software development and DevOps practices.
- Plan, prioritize, and deliver large-scale projects on time and within scope.
- Define and communicate technical roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
- Partner with senior executives, product leaders, and stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Foster a high-performing engineering culture, implementing best practices and mentoring leaders and team members.
- Oversee talent acquisition, employee development, resource planning, and budget management for engineering functions.
- Represent the India engineering organization in global leadership forums and strengthen the local tech ecosystem presence.
- 12–15+ years of software engineering experience, with 5–7+ years in engineering leadership roles.
- Expert-level software engineering and coding skills with enterprise product experience.
- Deep understanding of agile methodologies, software delivery processes, and DevOps practices.
- Proven ability to align engineering execution with business outcomes and communicate effectively with executive and technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in hiring, scaling teams, improving delivery speed, elevating product quality, and driving cultural change.
- Experience managing large, distributed, or global engineering organizations in high-growth or large-scale product environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred: experience establishing engineering teams in new geographies or working with US-based startups.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and organizational skills with a strategic mindset.
