The Role: 

The Director, Sales - Mid Market East is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of proven sales reps and to join a rapidly growing health technology company with a mission of providing equitable fertility care to all while lowering employer healthcare costs. We are looking for a highlight-motivated individual who will help shape and grow the sales team and while partnering with world-class employers who are actively seeking out this benefit. 

The Director, Sales - Mid Market at Carrot Fertility will be responsible for leading a team to revenue targets by advocating for Carrot’s key value propositions. The Carrot sales team sells customized programs to both fully insured as well as self-funded employers. This role will involve participation in key deals to sell Carrot to C-Suite executives, as well as working cross-functionally to help identify key products and services that should be prioritized for our product roadmap.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy aligned with defined KPIs to hit and exceed quarterly & annual revenue goals.
  • Develop and lead a team of 5-10 Mid Market Account Executives while fostering a culture of strong performance.
  • Accurately forecast revenue trends to sales leadership
  • Attract and train additional top performers as needed to support growth objectives.
  • Conduct 1:1s and lead larger sales team meetings.
  • Work closely with the Sales leadership team to identify and resolve obstacles, share strategies and learnings, and ensure continued success. 
  • Provide market feedback to other internal teams to drive product/service innovation and key value propositions. 
  • Participate and lead in prospect meetings with Total Rewards, Benefits and C-Suite executives.

The Team: 

The Mid-Market Sales Director, East will oversee a team of 5-10 Mid Market Account Executives across the East Coast. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the VP of sales to measure performance goals and develop strategies. The position would report to the VP of Sales.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 2-3 years in a sales leadership role
  • Experience leading teams in exceeding revenue goals
  • Experience selling into HR, Benefits, People and/or Healthcare teams
  • Experience with health brokers & consultants
  • Comfortability selling to C-suite stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years in the health technology or benefits space is preferred
  • Proven track record of significantly increasing team revenue year over year
  • Strong established relationships with top talent

Compensation: 
Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The expected base salary for this position will range from $145,000 - $221,000. Actual compensation, including any applicable bonus or variable component, may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
