Director of Information Technology

Reports to: Vice President of Threat Operations 

Location: Remote US

Compensation Range: $145,000 to $180,000 base, plus bonus, and equity

What You’ll Do: 

The Huntress Information Technology and Security team has the unique honor of securing the infrastructure that enables us to confidently protect over 1.5M (and rapidly growing) of our customer's endpoints. As our Information Technology leader, you will be responsible for elevating our internal IT posture and building a team that can scale to meet the demands of a high-growth company. Competitive candidates have experience staffing, motivating and leading diverse teams, and scaling the information technology of a fully-remote company while maintaining a positive work/life balance. Familiarity with a SaaS company with Windows and macOS users, IT processes, supporting global employees, cloud environments, and technology best practices are additional ways to differentiate yourself.

As you can imagine, success doesn’t happen in a vacuum. An effective Information Technology leader fosters highly collaborative environments between different business units to ensure the right balance of security while having a positive user experience to accelerate our mission and secure the 99% of businesses who fall below the enterprise poverty line. This collaboration is needed to understand our risk and create strategies to create a secure environment to protect our team.

Responsibilities: 

• Build cohesive, high-functioning teams that thrive in an environment of trust, respect, and inclusion
• Partner with Information Security to balance mission needs with security
• Provide technical and managerial leadership for the information technology team
• Ensure teams fully understand the goals and objectives of Huntress’ mission and how their work fits into the bigger picture
• Support the professional development of managers and personnel in this organization through coaching, mentorship, and performance management
• Ensure all information technology initiatives and processes are in conformance with Huntress’ established policies and objectives
• Scale the information technology team to meet the demands of a global company

What You Bring To The Team:  

• Experience in leading IT teams in a complex remote environment, including setting direction, strategy, vision, and budget
• Demonstrated track record of building strong core teams and managers with the ability to attract and hire talent and grow the team rapidly
• Work both independently with minimal guidance and collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment
• Experience working with the Information Security team on risk management to balance business needs with security implementation
• Communicate highly technical concepts clearly and concisely
• Technologist with motivation and responsibility for cybersecurity
• Knowledge working with industry standards to meet SOC2, GDPR, NIST, etc
• Experiencing in a remote high-growth cybersecurity and/or SaaS company is a plus
