This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Logistics based in the United States.

This is an executive leadership opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to oversee global supply chain operations supporting mission-critical programs. The role focuses on ensuring the efficient delivery of specialized equipment to military customers worldwide while driving strategic coordination across multiple business units. Working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, you will lead complex logistics initiatives, optimize global distribution networks, and strengthen operational readiness. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing logistics strategy, international operations, and cross-functional execution. This position is ideal for someone with extensive military logistics expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering operational excellence on a global scale.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and oversee global logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of equipment to military customers across international regions.
  • Direct subsidiary logistics teams, aligning their priorities and operations with broader strategic objectives while improving coordination across geographically distributed organizations.
  • Develop and execute global distribution strategies, lifecycle asset management plans, and equipment modernization initiatives to improve operational performance and reduce lead times.
  • Source specialized equipment and manage unique procurement requests while maintaining strong property accountability and supply chain integrity.
  • Oversee Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs and security cooperation initiatives, ensuring compliance with export regulations, international shipping requirements, and government policies.
  • Partner with U.S. Government agencies, defense organizations, and international stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and support mission success.
  • Serve as a project leader for product integration initiatives, contributing to the successful deployment and continuous improvement of products and logistics capabilities.
  • Provide executive-level guidance on logistics programs, operational planning, budgets, contracts, and strategic initiatives while representing the organization with senior government and defense partners.
  • Requirements

    • Minimum of 10 years of senior-level military experience focused on logistics, supply chain management, and executive operational leadership.
    • Extensive expertise in Foreign Military Sales (FMS), security cooperation programs, and complex international logistics operations.
    • Strong knowledge of export compliance, international shipping regulations, property accountability, lifecycle asset management, and supply chain optimization.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams while influencing senior military, government, and international stakeholders.
    • Proven project management experience with the ability to support product integration and strategic operational initiatives.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills with the ability to operate effectively in high-visibility environments.
    • Ability to travel, navigate industrial and operational environments, perform occasional physical tasks, and adapt to flexible work schedules when required.
    • Must successfully complete a post-offer background check and meet U.S. work authorization requirements applicable to ITAR/EAR-regulated positions.
