This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Paid Media based in the United States.

The Director of Paid Media will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive omnichannel paid media strategy designed to accelerate customer acquisition and business growth.
This role will own performance marketing initiatives across multiple channels, manage significant budgets, and drive data-informed investment decisions.
The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on optimization, requiring strong expertise in paid media, analytics, creative testing, and customer growth strategies.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve acquisition funnels, strengthen measurement capabilities, and maximize marketing efficiency.
As a key leader within the Growth function, you will build high-performing teams, develop external partnerships, and establish scalable processes.

Accountabilities:

The Director of Paid Media will oversee the complete paid media ecosystem, ensuring effective strategy, execution, optimization, and team development across acquisition channels.

  • Own and execute the full-funnel, omnichannel paid media strategy across prospecting, retargeting, and retention initiatives.
  • Manage performance marketing KPIs, including customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), contribution margins, and revenue performance across digital commerce channels.
  • Partner on budget planning, forecasting, pacing decisions, and resource allocation to maximize return on marketing investment.
  • Identify and test new customer acquisition opportunities through emerging audiences, platforms, offers, and funnel strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advertising platforms, technology partners, and external vendors to leverage new opportunities, support, and innovation.
  • Develop structured experimentation programs across creative assets, audiences, landing pages, and measurement approaches to continuously improve performance.
  • Collaborate with creative and content teams to translate audience insights into effective platform-specific advertising strategies.
  • Lead and grow the Paid Media team by hiring, mentoring, managing performance, and establishing operational standards and processes.
  • Partner with Growth, Marketing, and Brand teams to improve attribution, tracking infrastructure, data quality, and measurement frameworks.
  • Support additional strategic initiatives as needed, with occasional travel required on an as-needed basis.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical paid media leader with proven experience scaling acquisition programs in fast-paced digital environments.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • 5+ years of professional experience in eCommerce, with consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success developing and managing omnichannel paid media strategies.
    • Previous people management and team leadership experience.
    • Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L-driven decision-making.
    • Experience managing significant advertising budgets and optimizing spend based on business outcomes.
    • Excellent proficiency with AI tools and the ability to integrate AI into workflows, automation, and decision-making processes.
    • Strong analytical skills with intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
    • Ability to adapt quickly, solve complex problems, and innovate in a high-growth environment.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
