Director, Pharmacy

The Role:

This role will lead Cerebral’s pharmacy business, CerebralRx. Reporting to the SVP, Operations, the Director of Pharmacy will be responsible for overseeing our in-house pharmacy operation, driving process improvements across accuracy, productivity, and costs, and developing the long-term strategy to make this a significant P&L driver within the greater Cerebral business.  

You love to build and optimize operations. You can create and drive a long-term strategy, but you’re not all strategy. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. You have a deep understanding of the pharmacy industry from retail to mail order and systems. You understand how to scale a large organization and can manage a complex operation equally through vision and KPIs in a fast-paced environment. Most importantly, you are driven by a desire to advance the patient experience in the healthcare space.

Who you are

• 8+ years of experience in a leadership role of retail and/or mail-order pharmacies 
• Strong command of pharmacy management, logistics, inventory management, and pharmacy management systems 
• Have managed a remote-first organization across multiple locations and levels
• Currently licensed across multiple states
• Outstanding financial analytical skills; you are comfortable building models around forecasting and margin improvements 
• Ability to motivate and lead a cross-functional team around a clearly articulated and powerful vision
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for building the future of mental healthcare and preferably have experience within the health tech or mental healthcare space
• Open to US-based travel up to a few times annually to ensure our onsite teams are operating exceptionally

• Focus relentlessly on improving the member experience from fulfillment to last-mile delivery
• Create a strong feedback loop with internal partners (e.g. prescribers, product, and other stakeholders) and external partners (e.g. shipping carrier) to drive process enhancements and innovation
• Oversee all operational activities across pharmacies and supply chain (e.g. staffing, forecasting, inventory management, facility management, logistics, packaging, project management, compliance / regulatory audits)
• Define and drive margin improvements based on business objectives through system enhancements (including software build-outs), partner negotiations, and workforce optimization
• Own all relationships with national logistics carriers, distributors, OTC manufacturers, and third-party vendors, and facility contract negotiations
