Job Description
The ED will drive four key pillars:
- Operational efficiency in data management, including capture, ingestion and mastering, across the GHX product portfolio
- Data quality across categorization, governance and reporting
- Best practices in data science & data utilization within existing product lines
- Growth through unlocking new value from data
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a common strategy for data management and usage across product lines
- Partner with product line product managers as a thought partner for what is possible with data and data science
- Define cross-product data integration opportunities to add growth and differentiation enabling features in the existing product lines
- Hire, lead and manage a product management teams in support of the key pillars.
- Drive product management culture and discipline by establishing and executing OKRs and key processes
- Identify key operational metrics to monitor data quality, volumes and lineage to meet commercial needs for analytics applications.
- Take ownership of issues, develop recommendations, and execute on proposals.
- Analyze risks within projects and communicate what is the best approach is moving forward.
- Execute on in-year requests that need to be addressed by keeping Product and Technology teams laser-focused on roadmap items.
- Drive alignment and client satisfaction through an ability to influence other teams with respect to product strategy
- Lead commercial activities to acquire, build and use data assets
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or combination of education and related experience.
- 10+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with background in analytics, data science and/or data services.
- Ability to clearly communicate and work in team environments, with minimum of 5 years management experience involving product management teams.
- Software development lifecycle experience managing product planning milestones from business concept through launch.
- Demonstrated lateral leadership experience.
- Process optimization experience.
- Competency at developing strategies and execution plans for new businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross functional project teams.
- Strategic planning skills.
- Strong executive presence.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and processes to achieve commitments/results.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (oral and written communication).
- 30% in front of customers, 70% internal.
