Department Overview

The Motorola Solutions Astro Digital Development team specializes in the design and development of world class digital two-way subscriber radios for the mission critical market. The Astro Digital Development team specializes in both Digital and RF design.
Job Description

Electronic Design - Digital Engineering : Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates digital electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for digital electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. 

Desired Skills:

• Design experience with the following technologies is desired:
• Audio circuitry, processors and memories, power distribution/regulation circuitry, displays and drivers, Analog/Digital conventional or trunking radio systems, APCO, and Securenet products.
• Technical problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Working experience with engineering design and analysis tools.
• Good communication and teamwork skills required.

Basic Requirements

• BS in electrical engineering
• 2+ years of experience
