PROJECT MANAGER

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for managing the Professional Services (PS) projects for Data Services practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management particularly within the realm of data projects including deploying Data warehouse and Data Lakes on public cloud (Azure AWS or GCP) and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. As the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for managing detailed tasks monitoring RAG (Red Amber Green) status for scope schedule budget and risks/issues and implementing detailed tracking mechanisms using agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead and manage PS engagements for Data Services practice from initiation to completion ensuring alignment with client objectives and expectations.

·       Develop comprehensive project plans including scope schedule budget resource allocation and risk management strategies.

·       Utilize agile methodologies to implement detailed task tracking manage priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.

·       Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers analysts developers and stakeholders to drive project execution and deliverables.

·       Monitor and report RAG status for scope schedule budget and risks/issues providing timely updates to stakeholders and senior management.

·       Proactively identify project risks and issues develop mitigation plans and escalate as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

·       Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement within the project team.

·       Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients serving as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and updates.

·       Conduct regular project reviews and retrospectives to assess performance identify lessons learned and drive process improvements.

·       Mentor and coach junior project management staff providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering Business Administration or related field; PMP certification preferred.

·       Proven experience managing complex data projects within a Professional Services or consulting environment.

·       Strong understanding of agile methodologies with hands-on experience using agile project management tools and techniques.

·       Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

·       Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

·       Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

·       Experience with data management analytics and business intelligence technologies is highly desirable.

·       Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and data-related tools (e.g. SQL Python Tableau) is a plus.

·       Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time within budget and with high quality.
