JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description

Design, modify, write and implement test equipment solutions (including hardware design and/or software programs using test language). Perform end-to-end automation testing development of Resideo's Home Automation Control Panels. Develop test simulator to test different sensors, including smoke detectors, heat detector, carbon monoxide detector, motion sensor, door sensors, glass break detectors, flood sensor and panic sensor. Test automation framework development for testing Resideo's proprietary communication protocols which are used for core communication between different sub systems, automation control panels, keypads, sensors, and thermostats. Develop Robotic Test Automation framework for end-to-end user functionality testing on Home Automation Control Panels testing. Develop test automation framework for verifying various alarms (fire, burglary, panic alarms in Quicksilver series panels) at central monitoring stations. Simulate different 5800 senor functionalities (fire sensor, motion sensor, door sensor, and window sensor) using embedded test automation by making custom microcontroller-based hardware. Simulate RF6 sensors functionality and verify the RF communication between panel and RF6 sensors using test automation. Simulate end user scenarios including, arming, disarming, bypassing zones, and generating alarms and verification in Android and IOS mobile applications using the Appium test automation tool.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required. Employer will accept a combination of post-secondary academic degrees evaluated as the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in lieu of the Bachelor's degree. Eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in the field of Test automation framework development. Experience must be post-Bachelor's degree.

Special Requirements

Full term of experience must include: Intrusion and home automation domain knowledge; Coding experience with JAVA, Selenium and Python; Cucumber behavior driven development experience; Developing end-to-end system level test automation framework; Protocol level test experience with ECP, V-Plex, MQTT, and SMA. Six (6) years of required experience must include: RF Protocols testing and validation including 2.4 GHz, Wiselink, Zwave, and Zigbee; and Communication protocol level testing including UART, I2C, SPI and CAN. Experience must include Test case design and development for end-to-end intrusion and home automation system; Issue tracking and test case design and development using JIRA, Contour and X-Ray; Domain training for new joiners with tools and technique used in automation; and Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
