TransUnion Global Fraud Solutions delivers industry leading capabilities in identity validation and digital insights to help our customers fight fraud and streamline trusted consumer experiences. We are embarking on another step in our journey with a multi-year Fraud Platform Modernization program. This program will include development of a new global fraud platform along with modernization of our existing fraud point solutions.
This Engineering Manager position will manage two cross-functional java services teams that will be working on modernizing & improving our DeviceRisk point solutions for inclusion in our new Fraud Platform. The main focus of this role is coaching and developing the individuals while also working with peers in the product and agile space to ensure teams can successfully deliver value. The person in this position will also collaborate closely with the other engineering managers on initiatives to continually improve our engineering processes and culture, with a focus on metrics and quality-focused practices.

- Coach, mentor, and give constructive feedback to help engineers develop and grow their skills
- Build productive relationships with the POs, Architects, and Scrum Masters that work with each of your teams, and partner with those individuals to best support the team
- Inspire, motivate, and challenge your team to look for possibility & opportunity
- Attend regular 1:1s with your manager and bring questions, ideas, and feedback
- Collaborate with engineering managers and other technology leaders to advocate and drive department-wide initiatives to improve tools, process, and work flow
- Work with recruiters to manage the hiring process and identify quality candidates who can be successful in our environment and contribute positively to our culture
- Help establish and champion engineering best practices with a focus on quality, consistency, and sustainability
- Be accountable for your team's successful completion of commitments
- Approach challenges and setbacks with a growth mindset and look for continuous improvement opportunities in our products, processes, and environments

What You Will Bring
- 3+ years of experience in leading/ managing engineers
- 6+ years working in technology, ideally in a highly scalable SaaS environment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with peers in management and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Desire to help build and foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment
- Passion for coaching and growing others in their careers
- Experience hiring, onboarding and coaching new engineers as well as managing senior engineers
- Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks
- Strong communication skills, including conflict management and resolution
- Ability to manage multiple projects and various deadlines simultaneously, meet commitments and deliver results
- Comfort navigating change and leading teams through new initiatives and a changing business and technical landscape
- Outstanding team player with a customer/consumer experience mindset who can interact effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues and clients
We'd Love To See
- Experience working in the security or fraud prevention space
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure
- Familiarity with GCP build pipelines and processes
- Java development experience
- Experience working in a matrixed structure with dynamic teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Product Marketing, Operations, Technology/Engineering, and senior executives)
- Scaled Agile (SAFe) experience

- In the first 90 days - You'll immediately take over management of an existing team, learn about our products & services, establish relationships with the individuals you manage as well as your peers, and start identifying goals. In addition, you'll be helping the rest of the management team with hiring and on-boarding as we are actively expanding our teams.
- Beyond 90 days - You'll be working on building out a new Java Services team from new & existing engineers, and you'll be instrumental in helping both teams successfully deliver on important milestones toward the modernization of our point solutions.
