Job Description
JOB DUTIES: Manage a team of very experienced software engineers who are responsible for the technical development of the SailPoint Product, writing quality code and debugging tough problems. Assist to shape SailPoint's connectivity vision with Product Management, technical leads, executives and others. Take note to what the team needs are to deliver better software, then proactively accomplish those tasks. Partner with Product Management to ensure teams have clear tactical and strategic backlogs. Introduce, run, tweak, and optimize team project management processes. Recruit, coach, develop, and motivate high performing engineers across multiple teams. Proactively seek to listen and find alignment with other engineering teams and stakeholders by understanding the team's technology, building strong relationships, and insisting on high-quality solutions that solve multiple strategic challenges at once.
Supervises 8 employees
10% domestic and international travel required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science and Engineering, Management Information Systems or related and 8 years of experience in software engineering. 5 years of experience to include: Hands-on experience as a software engineer; Working with teams shipping SaaS products for consumers or businesses; Utilizing at least two different tech stacks as either an engineer or a manager. 3 years of experience to include: Software Engineering Management role on backend services exposing APIs; Managing agile processes and scrum team workflows; Working across teams with multiple stakeholders; Tuning and Optimizing team processes using qualitative and quantitative feedback.
OTHER: Work Site: 11120 Four Points Drive, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78726 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S.; 40 hours/week;
