Engineering Manager- Biller Integrations at Flex

We began by revolutionizing rent — Americans’ largest recurring bill. We enable our users to pay rent and bills throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we plan to scale to 300 team members in 2022. This Manager role will lead the Biller Integrations team. Biller Integrations is core to the success of Flex. It has very high visibility and lots of room for impact. Improvements will not only expand our user base (through higher coverage %), but also it will improve our margin (through reducing operational cost). Our product requires our integrations to perform both read and write actions, and since the write actions will have side-effects, there will be a lot of unique technical challenges for the team to solve so that Flex can handle integrations reliably.

What You Will Do

Work on a high-visibility team with a significant impact on the company’s bottom line and differentiating capabilities
Attract, retain and develop talent towards maximizing impact and career
Be a thoughtful technical voice and support your team in making sound architectural decisions
Lead the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and delivery
Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Flex’s engineering management team

What You'll Need

Managed teams that have shipped and operated mission critical services
Extensive experience working with cross-functional partners.
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
At least 2 years of engineering management experience
At least 4 years of hands on software engineering experience
