Flex is an early-stage, remote-first FinTech startup that is bringing flexible payments to recurring bills. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2022 and you’re still not able to choose when you pay your bills. Flex is here to change that! Flex is a multi-bill platform. We began by revolutionizing rent — Americans’ largest recurring bill. We enable our users to pay rent and bills throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances. With Flex, everybody can better manage their bills and budget. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we plan to scale to 300 team members in 2022. Will you be a part of the team?
This Manager role will lead the Biller Integrations team. Biller Integrations is core to the success of Flex. It has very high visibility and lots of room for impact. Improvements will not only expand our user base (through higher coverage %), but also it will improve our margin (through reducing operational cost). Our product requires our integrations to perform both read and write actions, and since the write actions will have side-effects, there will be a lot of unique technical challenges for the team to solve so that Flex can handle integrations reliably.

- Work on a high-visibility team with a significant impact on the company’s bottom line and differentiating capabilities
- Attract, retain and develop talent towards maximizing impact and career
- Be a thoughtful technical voice and support your team in making sound architectural decisions
- Lead the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and delivery
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Flex’s engineering management team
What You'll Need
- Managed teams that have shipped and operated mission critical services
- Extensive experience working with cross-functional partners.
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
- At least 2 years of engineering management experience
- At least 4 years of hands on software engineering experience
