Airbyte is the open-source standard for EL(T). We enable data teams to replicate data from applications, APIs, and databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations. Opportunity

As the Eng Manager for the Database Sources Team, you will own making Airbyte's Database Sources the standard for replicating data from relational databases. These databases are some of Airbyte's most popular sources and are the mainstay of our ETL product. 

This team dives deep into the internals of popular relational databases to efficiently replicate data. This includes interacting directly with the Write-Ahead Log (WAL) and implementing Change Data Capture (CDC).


 
What You'll Do
  • Own the output of the Database Sources Team.
  • Collaborate with the product team to align the team with and execute against company goals.
  • Provide context to the team on product and business goals.
  • Manage engineers on the team (3-8 people).
  • Grow engineers on the team.
  • Manage hiring to hit team growth goals.
 
What You'll Need
  • 1+ years of engineering management experience
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience
  • Excited to work and manage remote
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for continuous learning and improvement (both at a personal and team level)

Salary for this job- $211,000- $225,000 + a generous equity package, and benefits listed above for US Market. For countries outside of the US we offer benefits and localized salaries based on your region or area.
