About Your Role:
Dotdash is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering teams responsible for the Developer experience platform that powers the application development lifecycle for one of the largest and fastest-growing online publishers. You'll participate in and help develop a driven and collegial engineering culture that champions collaboration, innovative thinking, and technical excellence, while maintaining a foundation of work/life balance.
You will lead two teams to build out the next generation of our home grown application that orchestrates all of infrastructure provisioning for all of the engineering teams within dotdash meredith. Your mission will be to lead the platform's evolution to support an ever-increasing number of websites, minimize the effort for each brand team to build and maintain functionality, and most importantly, help increase the developer-friendliness of the platform by removing the toil every step of the way.
You'll have plenty of opportunities to research and discover new frameworks and technologies while driving the major decisions on how our framework architecture and engineering teams continue to evolve and grow to help our internal customers deliver faster to the business.
About your contributions:

• Partner closely with Product Management, Technology leadership, and application developers to ensure our home grown application meets business needs in delivering application changes to the market faster.
• Develop technical roadmaps to ensure our solution is well maintained, uses the best technologies for the demands, and continues to improve our ability to develop and maintain multiple web brands.
• Drive development practices and technical decisions that ensure we reduce toil at build,test and deploy phases of application development process.
• Grow team leads, and work closely with individual teams to improve the engineering lifecycle.
• Keep up with new technologies and approaches to solve problems and improve existing systems
• Lead, own and drive projects from start to completion including system architecture design, code design, development, and integration.
• Represent the application teams during cross functional design and integration meetings.

About You:

• Minimum of 3+ years experience in a similar product or management role in the developer experience platform related space.
• Expert knowledge of Java and concurrency, Kubernetes orchestration, distributed caching and system performance.
• Strong understanding of systems design and architecture.
• Experienced with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban as well as a test driven mindset.
• Expertise of SDLCs and CI/CD in how applications are deployed through a well tested deployment pipeline is a must.
• Expertise of AWS /GCP Cloud API and their control planes is a must.
• Love to work with people
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field or foreign equivalent

Pay Range
Salary: $133,000 - $190,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
