Enterprise Architect
Job Description
T-Rex is seeking a Technical Enterprise Architect to support the FDIC. The Technical Enterprise Architect is a recognized technology SME and expert in both Enterprise Architecture and Strategic Planning. They use their expertise in injecting enterprise architecture considerations of strategic value being delivered and readiness (people, process, technology). They apply business management practices and industry requirements to provide highly technical and specialized guidance concerning IT solutions to complex information processing problems.
Responsibilities:
- Leads Agile Enterprise Architecture teams
- Develop and maintain IT Modernization Plans.
- Analyze and document business architectures
- Define plans to transition from the current state to the target state of IT architecture
- Identify challenges/impacts/risks associated with IT changes and determine mitigations.
- Establish, refine, and enforce governance for architecture alignment.
- Aligns technology implementations with the enterprise mission
- Develops enterprise architecture artifacts such as current and target state business process models and data models
- Evaluates business needs against technology trends
- Develops strategies for aligning organizations with mission needs
- Facilitate strategic discussions with senior IT leaders and communications/outreach to IT and non-IT communities.
- Leverage knowledge of emerging technologies and industry practices to enhance the solution delivery experience for consumers and developers.
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture, focusing on applying EA concepts to create effective transition plans and investments.
- Experience conducting cost-benefit analysis, risk assessments, and analysis of alternatives (AoA)
- Experience working with ServiceNow and ins-pi
Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or another related field of study
- 10 years of relevant working experienceÂ
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture, focusing on applying EA concepts to create effective transition plans and investments.
- Experience working with senior leadership to align technology investments with strategic goals
- Experienced with applied engineering methodologies and principles to conduct major enterprise-wide business process evaluation and modernization projects.
- Must have significant experience working with the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF).
- Must have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and be comfortable communicating with executives, managers, and technical resources.
- Must have experience supporting the Federal Government.
- Experience working with the COBIT framework
- Experience with ins-pi and its components, e.g., YouDesign, UPM-x, and Designer
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another similar discipline
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience with JIRA

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $175,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
