Finance Associate, Gross Margin/COGS

About You

Nutrafol is seeking an inquisitive, data-driven, and entrepreneurial Finance Associate who will be responsible for analyzing and leveraging data to support strategic and financial decision making within a dynamic and fluid organization. This role will specialize on Gross Margins, COGS and Operations.

As a key member of the finance team, you will own critical aspects of Nutrafol’s planning and forecasting processes, analyze operational decisions, and provide ongoing guidance to the Nutrafol executive team.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and enhance company financial and operating models: adapting and making improvements according to changing business needs, as well as providing insights informed by them
• Support annual planning and forecasting processes
• Provide monthly deep-dive analyses and support budget/operational reviews with Supply Chain and Operations, translating financial statements into operational action
• Provide strategic guidance using analytics initiatives such as business/economic/financial modeling and analysis based on multiple data sources
• Work closely with Supply & Operations leadership to provide analytical support on scenario planning/sensitivity analysis, vendor negotiations, and proactively identify operational improvements
• Use Tableau and Quickbooks to mine and analyze data in order to provide leadership with learnings and recommendations
• Track metrics that drive Gross Margin KPI's

Requirements

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in analytical roles that involve budgeting/planning, financial modeling, and decision analytics (for example: corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting)
• Experience in or with a high-growth eCommerce, CPG company, or other inventory-based business
• Experience analyzing and forecasting COGS/Gross Margins
• You’re an Excel wizard and expert at financial modeling
• You eagerly solve big fuzzy problems with complex data sets
• Experienced with Tableau (or other analytics platforms such as Looker, Mode, etc.), and Salesforce
• You’ve worked closely with executives and supported cross-team initiatives
