About the team:
We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to partner closely with Engineering and Security teams. As a valuable partner to the Engineering Org, the ideal candidate is passionate about working with Engineering leaders and has proven in past roles influencing business leaders and supporting decision making in constantly evolving environments. This role requires someone with a strong finance savvy, strong experience in financial modeling, reporting, close/forecasting experience (preferably full P&L and or cost management). Can navigate ambiguity and interdependence, prioritize multiple projects end to end, and drive cross-functional projects to completion. Regular interactions with business partners/engineering leads require strong interpersonal and communication skills.
What you'll do day-to-day:

• Execute on a wide breadth of financial processes on an ongoing and periodic basis including month-end close and forecast, handle expense and headcount plan vs actual, financial consolidation, resource allocation and provide analysis/recommendation for business partners.
• Help drive the strategic and financial planning processes for the teams (e.g., Monthly Business Reviews, Forecasts, Annual Budget, and Long Range Plan)
• Analyzing results, business KPIs, assessing risks for coverage areas, and presenting timely risks & opportunities to Business Partners, Finance Leadership, and Executive team
• Partner with the engineering leads and find opportunities to create efficiencies, appropriate metrics to track business performance and additional sources of cost savings
• Serve as a cross-functional liaison, strategic advisor, and execution partner to leads of Robinhood's Engineering, Data Science, and Security teams
• Support critical initiatives from ideation to analytics to recommendations to project managing and leading cross-functional teams to drive impact
• Conduct business case modeling, run deep dive analysis and other ad-hoc financial analysis as needed

About you:

• Minimum 3 years professional work experience in finance and including 1+ year(s) supporting business partners
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, and the business judgment to balance the details while not losing sight of the big picture
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, forecasting skills
• An ability to think from first principles and work independently
• High proficiency in Excel and Google Suite, and interest in developing advanced querying / modeling skills (SQL, Looker)
• Ability to deep dive into data, identify and quantify opportunities, and design creative solutions
• Polished communication skills and comfort working with internal and external partners
• A self-starter with the ability to quickly respond to problems independently and consider all partner needs
• Bachelor's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
