Why This Role Is Important

As a Financial Accountant (Revenue Accounting), you will report to the Business Controller and be responsible for focussing on and developing the Order to Cash work stream, working with both the finance team and wider business to provide both a high level of revenue assurance and meaningful insights to assist decision making.

What You Will Be Great At

• Owning revenue across the global business, ensuring revenue is recorded accurately in a timely manner and free from error
• Ensuring revenue is recognized in line with US GAAP (ASC 606) and local GAAP
• Responsible for the Revenue month end close process, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis in a timely manner
• Line management for two Revenue Analysts
• Responsibility to address all relevant training needs across the team and wider business stakeholders
• Working closely with the Billing team to build and maintain robust process to safeguard the completeness and accuracy of the order to cash process
• Developing relationships with the Sales team to enable the interpretation of complex contracts, ensuring the revenue is recognised correctly and billed appropriately
• Understanding, building and maintaining processes to ensure the revenue related balance sheet accounts are reconciled, aged and in a reportable format
• Working with the Collections function to review and sign off aged debtors’ provisions and write offs
• Reviewing and signing off all Credit Notes raised in the business
• Maintaining and improving SOX compliance for accounting functions and participating in SOX documentation and testing where required
• Identifying and proactively providing solutions to automate and improve processes while ensuring daily responsibilities are completed with detail, accuracy, and timeliness
• Supporting and validating the Group budget and forecast process, acting as a nexus between the various stakeholders including Sales, Finance and FP&A

What You Must Have Experience In

• Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post qualification experience
• Revenue Accounting experience in US GAAP company (preferred)
• Strong experience of internal controls
• Practice Accounting experience (preferred)
• Experience in SaaS or technology industry (preferred)
• Experience using Oracle, SmartView, Google Sheets
• MS Office, including Excel (advanced) & Word
