This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Job Summary
This position provides financial guidance and analytical support for Motorcycle Management team and New Product Development within Harley-Davidson Motor Company. It will assist with multi-year, motorcycle cost and margin analytics, requiring strong technical and communication. There will be cross functional involvement across PD and Costing Finance, Engineering, MM and PMO functions to support the Life Cycle Plan. This position provides comprehensive financial support including, but not limited to, data mining and analytics (PowerBi, SAP, Excel), financial analysis, new product business case development and project ownership.
Job Responsibilities
- Heavy data mining/analytical requirements, including supporting sophisticated PowerBi maintenance, Anaplan, and related SAP interfaces and databases
- Provide business analysis with emphasis in understanding the supported business (Motorcycle Margin). Assists directors and managers with the financial management of their project investments and financial returns
- Coordinates the development and assist in the preparation of all budgets and forecasts for expense and capital in accordance with the financial planning calendar
- Provides monthly financial support to the business: Record month end journal entries/accruals; Assure all expenses are recorded in the month incurred; and Analyze spending variances
- Forecasts returns (IRR & NPV) for proposed motorcycle or parts & accessory projects
- Participate in special projects as needed
Bachelor's Degree Required
Education Specifications
- This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is Required. A CPA or equivalent is desired.
- Typically requires a minimum of 1 years of related work and/or public accounting experience
- Strong, demonstrated competency in data analytics, including use of spreadsheets, tables, data systems, and accounting systems for the purpose of analysis and financial modeling
- Strong interpersonal skills and skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management
- Self-motivated and a self-starter continuously looking for process improvements
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining the broader, analytical perspective
- Excellent organizational skills - ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints
- SAP experience a plus
The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
