Forbes Summer 2023 Digital Product Development Internship

The Forbes Product Development team is responsible for developing, optimizing and maintaining our digital products, features and site experiences. We work to set the company up for business and creative success by innovating the next-generation of Web, content publishing, subscription and commerce experiences. We are a data-informed team dedicated to continuous innovation in product development to deliver value to our users and our business.

As a product intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with seasoned product managers, product designers, software engineers, and other technology professionals to gain hands-on professional experience as you help manage day-to-day tasks, contribute to special projects, and attend departmental meetings.  This is a unique opportunity to learn and contribute in a real-world product environment in one of the world’s iconic media companies. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Gather product requirements to help define feature development
• Assist with the development of product road maps
• Work with cross-functional teams such as design, engineering and business intelligence
• Contribute to product development solutions
• Gather data used to inform product decisions
• Help promote a collaborative environment by fostering alignment with the needs of users and key stakeholders

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Applicants studying a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Product Design, Product Management, etc.)
• Interest in current and emerging technologies
• Interest or experience in digital media a plus
• Natural curiosity for digital product technology
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational and project management skills
• Self-motivated individuals who can work collaboratively

About our Summer Intern Program

• The Forbes office is currently remote. This internship will be a remote position.
• Our internships are paid.
• This internship will take place from June 12 to August 18
• This internship is approximately 40 hours/week Monday-Friday.
• You will join be joining an intern class of other students that will be placed throughout our various teams (Editorial, Sales and Marketing, Tech and Product).
• Interns are invited to weekly presentations to hear from leaders within the organization.

The hourly rate for this role is $21.00 - $21.00
