Forward Deployed Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer based in Brazil.

This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, product development, and real-world customer delivery, where you will build and deploy AI-powered systems directly inside enterprise environments. You will work closely with customer teams to understand complex operational workflows and translate them into reliable, production-grade software solutions. The role requires strong technical depth and the ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving contexts where requirements are often incomplete. You will design scalable systems across backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, while continuously iterating based on real-world usage. A key part of the role involves turning customer insights into reusable platform capabilities that strengthen the core product. This is a high-impact position for engineers who want to ship quickly, own outcomes end-to-end, and work directly with customers solving meaningful operational problems.

• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand workflows, constraints, and technical environments, translating them into clear engineering solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy production-grade systems across backend services, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, orchestration layers, and internal tools supporting AI-driven workflows.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle including discovery, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Debug and resolve complex issues across distributed systems, APIs, authentication flows, and customer environments.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to transform field learnings into reusable platform improvements.
• Rapidly prototype new features while maintaining strong engineering standards for scalability and maintainability.
• Help customers operationalize AI systems in real production environments with a focus on reliability and safety.
• Contribute to reducing time-to-impact by improving deployment speed, system robustness, and implementation efficiency.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping production software systems.
• Strong experience across backend development, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Ability to independently architect and deliver complex systems with minimal oversight.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, data-intensive systems, and production environments.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI systems such as LLMs, agents, retrieval systems, or orchestration frameworks is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, enterprise systems, or external data sources.
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and customer impact orientation.
• Comfort balancing rapid iteration with long-term engineering quality and maintainability.
