What is Scribbr?

Scribbr is one of many educational businesses within Course Hero, Inc., a leading education platform offering a suite of learning resources and tools to help anyone learn more deeply, more effectively, and affordably throughout the arc of their career. As a part of that, Scribbr guides students on their journey to become better academic writers. Since its founding in 2012, we have helped millions of students perfect their academic writing. At our headquarters in Amsterdam, we work daily to improve our proofreading service. 

Editors at Scribbr:

Scribbr Editors are united by their love of language and editing. They improve essays, theses, and dissertations. For this team, we are looking for motivated language experts who want to grow together with us.

What we offer Scribbr Editors:

• Work flexibly according to your schedule (15 or 40 hours a week - it's up to you!)
• You can work fully remote
• Average pay is $20-25 per hour but can be up to $40, depending on your proofreading speed. We work with fixed, transparent rates per word and pay out in € (Euro)  
• We support you in developing your proofreading skills with individual training and exclusive information resources
• Community: You benefit from personal and professional exchanges with other editors in our exclusive Slack group
• You can focus on proofreading - we take care of clients, logistics and invoicing
• Our helpful support team will answer your questions around the clock

What are we looking for?

• Your English proficiency is excellent
• You have a bachelor’s degree or higher
• You have experience in (academic) proofreading
• Availability to edit 10,000 words a week
• Different subject areas interest you and you are inquisitive
• You are flexible, dependable, and easily accessible
• You are willing to proofread entire bachelor's, master's or other theses
• You are good with Microsoft Word and other software, e.g. Slack
