Front-End Developer

As a Front End Developer, you’ll collaborate with an Agile team of Database Engineers, API developers, UX Designers, QA Engineer, and clients on all front-end development needs, with the goal to make an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do: 

• Develop and enhance front-end user interfaces with a systems approach - translating designs into a systems-based UI component library and reusable code.
• Determine task requirements for front-end development needs and activities, including level of effort.
• Write, test, merge, and commit code. 

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• A bachelor’s degree and an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain/maintain.
• 5+ years of front-end web development experience.
  • HTML, CSS (SaSS, LESS), JavaScript
  • Client-side scripting and JS frameworks including jQuery
• Experience and understanding of building and delivering interactive websites from scratch.
• Experience with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SaSS including runtime processors such as Gulp.
• Experience with building UI component libraries, design systems, as well as with API tools, asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Understanding of 508 Accessibility, Content Management Systems, and modern JS libraries and frameworks, such as React or Angular.
