Position Description
Are you seeking a mission driven organization fighting against climate change and building the energy future? You will have exposure to a rapidly growing company in a stable and booming industry, working with individuals on the cutting edge of the intersection between data science and renewable energy.
The role of Full Stack Software Developer will be responsible for the design/maintenance, data structure, UI/UX design/implementation, and visualization on the cutting-edge applications of the renewable energy industry. The candidate should have a strong background in web application development, connecting to SQL DB and deploying cloud base applications with the Azure technology stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Solar and Storage industry experts and data scientists to develop web applications which best meet the company needs
- Design and architect end to end solution integrating modeling algorithms, back-end data structure, business intelligence, analytics, user interfaces, and data visualization
- Translate subject matter expert requests into a tangible and robust application all the way from design to implementation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related technical field or relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience developing software solutions
- Experience developing in one or more of the following:
- .NET stack: such as C#, ASP.NET or .NET Core
- Javascript, CSS, HTML and one or more third-party library like React or Angular
- Python-based web development frameworks with Flask and Django
- Strong knowledge of cloud environments (experience with Azure is a big plus, especially with deployment of Azure Web Services & Azure Functions),
- Strong Knowledge and experience with Python, SQL Server, and Azure Data Factory.
- Experience developing multi-platform software utilizing various programming environments and tools including setting up CI/CD and version control Git based on DevOps practices,
- Understanding of security by design, remediation and security best practices
- Passionate about crafting and delivering high quality products that meet customer needs
- Invested in ongoing learning and improving technical expertise
- Experience in the energy industry or renewable energy industry specifically; and/or experience with big data environment will be highly regarded.
