Ardent is seeking a Geospatial Developer to join our team.  

This is a remote role.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Geospatial Developer experience who has a desire to make a direct impact through the creation of user-friendly experiences that are both functional and attractive to support an existing geospatial application. In this role you will have the opportunity to code for both front-end and back-end architectures.

Our ideal candidate is a problem solver and self-starter who uses a methodical approach to software development tasks and solutions. This candidate will work closely with the project team to develop and maintain our custom geospatial software solutions. In addition, you will take part in agile planning sessions and deployments as part of our development process. An interest in innovation and implementing new technologies is key to your success.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dedicated GIS Developer support for mobile field applications (Survey123).
• Proficient in use and development of geospatial tools and applications (Esri) within ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools for managing work within JIRA, Confluence
• Develops applications to include user interfaces, workflows, scripts, and APIs.
• Proficient in industry programming languages (i.e. Python, Arcade etc.) to support both new development and/or maintenance of existing DHS geospatial solutions.
• Familiarity with agile best practices and participation in sprint ceremonies
• Understand complex concepts and be self-driven to learn, think creatively, experiment, and push new ideas
• Work both independently and collaboratively on a team

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems/Computer Science/Geographic Information Science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience designing and developing GIS solutions 
• Familiarity with Python development language
• Familiarity with relational database concepts (SQL Server/PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with ESRI ArcGIS / Portal / ArcGIS JavaScript API 
• Ability to obtain DHS suitability, no clearance required ++
