Graphic Design & Production- Signage Industry

Serving Texas for over 29 years, Republic Sign is an established full-service sign company that fabricates, installs and services various types of signage. We have an immediate need for a Graphic Designer. The ideal candidate would have previous graphic design experience, along with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Other job responsibilities are including, but not limited to, the following: Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Have the capability to efficiently design signs. • Perform sign layouts and renderings for potential customers. • Efficiently operate large format digital printers and vinyl plotters along with other sign production equipment in order to produce the finished product. • Answer phones and work with customers to fulfill their ongoing signage needs. • Thoroughly document and communicate the customer's needs to upper management so the job can be properly estimated. • Follow up with potential clients in an effort to increase sales. • Manage the daily office operations and make sure the production and service staff has the supplies and equipment they need to effectively perform their job duties. • Work with vendors. • File work orders and other documents as needed. • Draft and send e-mails and work with various computer programs as needed to properly document, estimate and invoice jobs. • Perform accounts receivable / payable functions as needed. • Other ongoing operational functions may be performed as needed. Requirements: • Must be well-versed in graphic design programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw. • Exceptional verbal and grammatically-correct written skills are a must. • Must have a good working knowledge of technology, including how to efficiently draft and send e-mails and work with software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint. • The ideal candidate must be dependable, be able to fulfill the customer's needs, dress in a business-casual manner and have a positive attitude.
