What You'll Do

• Manage existing global infrastructure in 6 datacenters with thousands of physical servers
• Procure and deploy new equipment
• Manage vendor relationships
• Improve automated infrastructure provisioning and code deployment
• Improve automate monitoring and incident detection
• Maintain large clustered database performance and replication
• Detect bottlenecks and make recommendations for improvements to existing architecture

Required skills

• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments 
• Experience working and negotiating with vendors
• Good understanding of networking (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
• Experience with Graphite, Nagios, or other monitoring tools
• Programming skills in Python, Ruby, Perl or other scripting language
• Willingness to work flexible hours at times, based on needs, including on-call rotation

Nice to have

• Experience working in both cloud and data center environments
• Experience with Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, other IT automation frameworks
• Experience with BGP routing
• Experience with parallel computing and “big data” frameworks (e. g. Spark)
• Experience with data warehousing systems
• Familiarity with network and system administration of high throughput/high load environments
