The Role:
Forge Global is seeking a Head of Program Management to build and lead our program management and QA functions during an exciting time of growth. These initiatives will support the rapid growth of Forge through the successful delivery of new systems and infrastructure enhancements. This role will work closely with leaders across Engineering, Product, Design, Trading, Operations, Sales, Marketing and more to coordinate work efforts through a lean/agile process. You’ll be responsible for owning the planning, reporting, and rollout of a portfolio of related technical projects while engaging with the team on day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:
- Stand-up a Program Management and QA function for a publicly traded, growth-stage Fintech firm to work across stakeholders
- Work hand-in-hand with design, product , business, marketing, legal, compliance and technology to convert vision into execution
- Advocate for customers to ensure they receive timely, frequent and high-quality releases
- Coordinate multiple teams towards a common objective, and help hold us accountable by tracking key results and outcomes
- Establish a reliable and visible cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and resource allocation, whereby efficiency gains and impact are measurable
- Participate in: identifying deliverables of project and/or program of projects; estimating and sizing project / program tasks and requirements; identifying roles and responsibilities for project team composition
- Drive prioritization, communication of outcomes and goals as well as resource alignment across stakeholders (e.g., Product, Trading, Operations, Sales & Marketing, etc.)
- Organize and lead project meetings and compile project status reports to drive deliverables to schedule, as well as develop resolutions to mitigate risks
- Build alliances with cross-org and cross-functional stakeholders who have similarly aligned priorities
- Establish and improve internal processes where necessary
- Help build a Testing function
- Create and leverage KPIs to drive traction, visibility and understand progress and roadblock in teams and projects
- Partnering with our Application Engineering and Business teams globally with exposure to our markets, our client trends and the latest technology innovations we are building on to find creative ways to test and improve our trading platforms
- Maintain and foster a close partnership, collaborating effectively with Forge’s stakeholders and technology Team on strategic initiatives
- Consult and partner with People Business partners on strategic People-related initiatives, challenges, and goals
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of leadership experience in program management, product management, management consulting, strategy, or a related with particular focus in Technology
- Prior experience working in a financial service and/or FinTech company required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally to prioritize needs and build productive working relationships while also holding teams and individuals accountable to deliverables
- Skilled at project planning, forecasting, and tracking
- Systematic and analytical problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
- People management experience, including building a strong team
- Experience with data analysis, presentation and creating dashboards
- Experience delivering value to customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgement to know when it's time to challenge the status quo
- Experience managing concurrent teams, work-streams or projects
- The role is remote but must be open to occasional travel to our Bay Area and New York offices
- You are technically adept
- You have direct people management experience
- You have experience supporting multiple project management frameworks, testing and domain knowledge and the flexibility to select the right approach
- You have an “ownership” mindset
- You know how to tell a story using data
- You've embraced a remote-first, asynchronous, and efficient style
- You can use Excel, Python, SQL, or similar tools to analyze data and PowerPoint to present it
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time in an office setting or in home office setting while working
Nice to have:
- You hold a PMP, CSM, PSM, CSPO or similar certification
- You have experience supporting both products and services
- You are comfortable managing both agile and waterfall projects
- You have experience using tools such as Confluence and Jira
- Experience creating automation frameworks
