Human Resources Coordinator, #607
Clearance: US Citizenship required; Must be able to obtain a government clearance if required. (Dev Technology provides IT services to the US government).
The Human Resources Coordinator is part of a small. fast paced Human Resources team that supports over 200 employees nationwide and partners cross functionally across all corporate operations. This role requires a high degree of business acumen, judgement, and attention to detail. This position is ideal for someone with 2 years experience in HR looking to grow their careers in a supportive and challenging environment. This position is required to be onsite 3 days a week.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Coordinates Dev Wellness initiatives
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
- Performs all onboarding and new hire actions from start to finish.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
- Coordinates all learning management system activities.
- Maintains all Dev calendar
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
- Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Prepares new-employee files.
- Processes mail.
- Supports facility and office management 3 days a week onsite.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least two years related experience required.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Demonstrated desire to learn and develop technical and professional skills in Human Resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen, and high degree of reasoning ability and judgement in decision making.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong commitment to meet deadlines and deliver time sensitive task efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- SHRM-CP credential preferred.
- Experience supporting HR in a government contracting environment.
