POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Intern will directly assist the Sr. Vice President & Chief HR Officer, and the Director of Human Resources with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, training, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, and employee engagement. Through the assigned projects, the Human Resources Intern will have the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the Human Resources function, as well as knowledge about the health insurance industry.
The Human Resources Intern will also collaborate with administration, finance, and IT staff to ensure assigned projects are completed on time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in the Human Resources field.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and update the existing new employee orientation program.
- Partner with the talent acquisition specialist to post job openings, review resumes, conduct telephone and in-person interviews, make job offers and negotiate starting salaries.
- Suggest activities for employee engagement.
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement events.
- Work with vendors/providers to obtain necessary materials, equipment and/or provisions for said activities.
- Collaborate with Communications, Marketing, Recruiting, Training, Administration, and others while working on assigned projects.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES;
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suiter (Word, excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail.
WORK SCHEDULE:
As a continued effort to provide a safe and productive work environment, Community Care Plan is currently following a hybrid work schedule. Staff are able to work from home 3 days a week and will report to the office 2 days a week. *****The company reserves the right to change the work schedules based on the company needs.
