HVAC Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedHVAC Sheet Metal Mechanicwith a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: • Fabricate, assemble, install, and secure sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial construction projects. • Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal to precise specifications based on blueprints and job requirements. • Work with various duct materials, including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. • Ensure proper sealing, insulation, and support of duct systems to meet industry and safety standards. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements. • Operate hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools. • Lead and supervise a small crew of installers, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to quality standards. • Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth and efficient project completion. • Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with local building codes and HVAC regulations. • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA safety guidelines. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal duct installation in commercial construction. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation techniques, and sheet metal fabrication. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications. • Experience working with various hand and power tools used in sheet metal fabrication. • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions. • Valid driver’s license. • Ability to pass background check *PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Referral program • Vision insurance Schedule: • 10 hour shift • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday Supplemental Pay: • Overtime pay Application Question(s): • Do you have your own set of tools and reliable transportation? • Are you willing to undergo a background and drug screen, in accordance with local law and regulations?
