Inpatient Staff Pharmacist Northern, CA 13+ Weeks Travel Contract

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Inpatient Staff Pharmacist Northeast California 13-Week Contract with Opportunity for Permanent Hire A well-established inpatient hospital in Northeast California is seeking a skilledStaff Pharmacistto join their dynamic team. This full-time, 13-week assignment offers an excellent path to permanent placement. Work Environment: • Inpatient hospital setting with an active infusion department • Pharmacy software: Cerner • Automated medication dispensing via Pyxis • Pharmacy team includes 2 full-time pharmacists and 2 pharmacy technicians Shift Schedule (Rotating): • Week 1:Sunday 7:00 AM 11:00 AM, then Monday through Wednesday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM • Week 2:Monday through Wednesday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM • Evenings on-call during scheduled workdays Key Responsibilities: • Verify medication orders promptly and accurately • Prepare and compound sterile products independently • Conduct clinical pharmacy activities including pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, and antimicrobial therapy monitoring • Oversee and check the work of pharmacy technicians • Ensure Pyxis machines are stocked and maintained Orientation & Training: • 2 to 4 weeks onboarding with mandatory sterile compounding competency achieved within first 3 weeks Candidate Profile: • At least 3 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required • Proven hands-on sterile compounding and IV preparation skills • Solid clinical pharmacy background • Must hold an active pharmacist license in California Compensation & Benefits: • Competitive pay ranging from $60 to $65 per hour, dependent on experience • Travel assistance included for qualified candidates relocating to the area Interested in this role?
