Job Description

IT Program Managers at Florida Blue are responsible for the overall direction, management, communication, coordination of status reports, and accountability of project oriented work efforts and success of their projects across the IT organization. They manage multiple projects across multiple placemat items with multiple internal and external dependencies, complex or multiple scope, a higher level of risk requiring mitigation plans, multiple integration points with some external integration related to functional capabilities, time sensitive works within multiple teams of resources.

What are the key responsibilities:

  • Servant Leader and Coach for the Solution Train facilitating and guiding work of all ARTs and Supplies in the Value Stream.
  • Facilitates solution backlog preparation and work with the Solution Management to refine the Solution Backlog
  • Collaborates with the RTEs to ensure the ARTs are well-prepared for the PIs
  • Facilitates the Solution-Train-level Inspect & Adapt (I&A) event part of the SAFe improvement process and results in a set of improvement items
  • Summarize PI Planning objectives across the Solution Train and create a set of Solution Train Objectives
  • Facilitate synchronization across the Solution Train with weekly syncs involving Solution Management, Solution Architects, Product Management, RTEs and System Architects from ART Qualifications
  • Accountable for the financial management of one big or multiple smaller placemat items including the integration opportunities and cost reductions.
  • Communicates with all levels of the organization - including leading Steering Committee Meetings and Executive Leadership Sessions.

What is Required:

  • 6+ years related work experience. Experience Details: IT Project or Program Manager
  • 1+ years' SAFe Release Train Engineer or Solution Train Engineer experience
  • Successful hands on experience in communicating highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.
  • Expert proficiency in the use of labor, cost management and project tracking and management tools such as MS Project.
  • High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
  • Proven leadership ability including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
  • Expert in Understanding the SDLC and Agile methodology disciplines.
  • Expert knowledge in various Project Management and Product Development concepts, methodologies and processes.
  • Proven success in leading/facilitating project Executive Meeting to obtain schedule, issues, risk and dependency updates, thoroughly documenting action items/meeting minutes, and prioritizing resources
  • Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field

What is Preferred:β€’ Agile Scrum Master Experience using Agile methodology β€’ 2+ years' SAFe Release Train Engineer or Solution Train Engineer experienceβ€’ Certified SAFe RTE or Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)β€’ PMP - Project Mgmt Professional

General Physical Demands

Annualized Salary Range: $102,000 - $165,800

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $102,000 - $127,500

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
