IT Technician Level 2 (Remote)
Job Description
Working with ITS is like working with close friends and family. We’re a laid-back but professional crew, who is currently looking for a Level 2 Technician who is able to add value to our team by serving these three separate purposes:
- To study, learn and improve their own knowledge and understanding of technical concepts.
- To resolve technical issues for clients; and
- To serve as a resource for their teammates who are stuck or having trouble resolving a technical issue.
The qualified candidate for this position is expected to be able to resolve the following technical issues with little or no assistance:
- Workstation operating system issues, including those involving advanced networking concepts.
- Workstation hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting and replacement of field-serviceable parts.
- Printer issues, including those involving advanced networking concepts.
- Standard business application (Office, etc.) issues of any kind with vendor assistance.
- Line-of-business application issues with vendor assistance.
- Basic and intermediate server issues which do not involve advanced networking concepts.
(Example certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCDST or MCP.)
Job Qualifications- Great English communication skills.
- Four years of IT support experience. Past experience with an MSP is a huge advantage.
- Must have experience in Office 365 Administration, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Windows Domain, Servers, Firewalls, MFA, and Switching.
- A deep passion and love for technology.
- A strong understanding of client service concepts.
- A desire to learn.
- A home office set up that meets the following:
- A working computer (minimum 8gb RAM), i5, Windows10, MacOS BigSur 11
- Stable internet connection (at least 5mbps download and upload)
- HD webcam/camera
- A quality headset with noise cancellation feature for meetings
- A mobile phone that has the capacity to install the Microsoft Authentication app.
- A very strong cultural fit the ITS way (Our core values will be discussed during the interview).
- Able to work full time 40 hours a week - 8AM to 5PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) from Monday to Friday
- Able to provide NBI Clearance (for PH applicants).
Pay rate starts at $7.35/hour and vary by experience and location.
Pay increase depends on acquisition of certificates. Technicians are expected to take the company sponsored certification at least once every six months upon hiring. Example certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft MCDST or MCP.
