Simple Technology Solutions is looking for an Java Application Architect to add to our team.
Quick Position Overview:
- US Citizenship is required
- Active IRS Public Trust is required
- Contract role: 6 month duration with potential for extension
The Role:
As a Java Application Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust and scalable Java applications, leveraging your expertise in microservices architecture and Spring Boot framework. Your extensive knowledge of AWS services such as EKS, SQS, and SNS will be essential in building and deploying cloud-native applications.
This is initially a 6-month position, but there is a potential for extension beyond that period.
The Java Architect at STS will:
- Design, architect, and develop high-quality Java applications using microservices architecture principles.
- Utilize your deep understanding of Spring Boot framework to develop scalable and efficient applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop architectural designs and provide guidance on application structure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- Implement best practices for Java application development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy and manage applications on AWS EKS.
- Leverage AWS services like SQS and SNS to build event-driven architectures and enable asynchronous communication between microservices.
Education and Experience:
Required
- US Citizenship
- Active IRS Public Trust
- Proven experience as a Java Application Architect or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Spring Boot framework.
- In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EKS, SQS, and SNS.
- Solid understanding of Java application performance tuning techniques.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
