We are seeking an exceptional intern to join our team as a Jira Developer. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Business Systems and Support Teams. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the security and scalability of our Atlassian infrastructure. You will be an integral part of the core team responsible for maintaining and enhancing our systems. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of Jira administration and integrations, as well as experience in managing a diverse technical environment. Your responsibilities will include developing and promoting best practices within the Atlassian ecosystem, monitoring systems, and creating a seamless and secure experience for our employees.
You will also be responsible to:
Manage all aspects of the Atlassian tool chain including workflows, custom fields, schemes, add-ons and integrations)Â
Subject matter expert for Atlassian tools (Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, Jira Core)Â
Manage and maintain client configuration and security compliance standards
Author scripts, tools, and Workato based automations between Atlassian tools and other productivity apps.
Ability to balance user requests and business needs against established JIRA governance best practices.Â
Evaluate and recommend new internal tools, automations for system management and operations excellency.
Bachelor’s degree in CS or a related field.
Some JIRA administration experience, supporting small to large enterprise environments.
Setup integration between Atlassian and other productivity, developer and analytics tools.Â
Manage the confluence environment and create spaces, pages, page templates as necessary.
Ensure system availability of all Atlassian tools based on defined SLAs.
Handle service ticket queue to ensure timely resolution for end user issues.
Experience administering Atlassian cloud, Jira service desk and confluence.
Proficient in ScriptRunner / Groovy / JQL and PowerScripts.
Knowledge of IT Operations best techniques, including strategies, and technologies for monitoring, alerting, automation, and return-to-service strongly preferred.
Develop metrics dashboards, heatmaps, reports to provide development teams and senior leadership with meaningful operational/performance metrics and status reports.
Good understanding of ITIL concepts Incident/Change/Problem and ticketing tools.
Hands-on experience using JIRA REST APIs for integration with other tools like Slack, github, Opsgenie and other integration/automation frameworks.
Working knowledge of Networking, DNS, Databases, Active Directory / LDAP, APIs, Perl or Python Scripting.
Detail-oriented with superior organizational and time-management skills - balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests.
Ensuring high quality and timely delivery of features.
Demonstrate a strong sense of IT and Atlassian operations and integrations ownership.
Driven with a can-do attitude and determination to succeed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
