The Jr. Financial Modeling Analyst is responsible for providing support to the finance and greater organization regarding our financial planning system. Will work to review and correct system errors as well as work with the team to create review processes for data validation and reporting. The Jr. Financial Modeling Analyst will handle modeling and analytics as needed to support the business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop reports for management on the overall performance of the business segments
- Financial modeling to include analyzing historical data to develop models and drive assumptions as well as updates and analysis related to the current assumptions and formulas within the financial reporting system
- Validate and ensure accuracy of financial reports in the financial system and report any data variances or changes to management team
- Perform ad-hoc analysis independently and other projects as required
- Perform application updates, review release notes and other release documentation, and provide feedback on various changesÂ
- Participates in testing of system integrations and user acceptance testing
- Understanding of financial data, elements, and dimensions in order to build reporting structures
- Gather and document business requirements, implementation, test plans, and operational support plans
- Participate in the annual budget and monthly forecasting processes by working with the finance team to review data inputs, create reports, and analyze system issues/formulas/updates
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Gmail, ThinkCell, and Workday Adaptive Planning preferred
- Prior ERP experience preferred
- Detail oriented with the ability to identify anomalies in data
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communications
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Able to work with all levels of the organization and communicate financial results to business owners
- Desire to learn and grow in a financial system administration type role
- Basic understanding of finance/accounting
